Mr Anthony Ghosh

As a London fellowship-trained consultant neurosurgeon and spine surgeon, I specialise in the treatment of back pain, degenerative spine and disc disease, tumours, adult degenerative deformity, fractures, sciatica, neck and arm pain, and minimally invasive surgery. My goal is to find the least invasive treatment that offers the longest lasting result by working in a network of other healthcare professionals, with the aim of avoiding surgery for most patients. I therefore founded The Spine MDT, a multidisciplinary team practice, to deliver this goal. My background includes a unique combined neurosurgical and orthopaedic fellowship in spine surgery at St. George's Hospital, where I acquired a broader range of skills and techniques from both disciplines. I also completed a Royal College of Surgeons-accredited fellowship in neurovascular surgery at King's College Hospital, and an MD research degree in imaging of the brain and spine at University College London and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. With my extensive training, qualifications, and experience, I am committed to providing the highest level of care possible to my patients. I was a substantive NHS consultant neurosurgeon at Queen's Hospital, Greater London, and a member of the team of complex spine surgeons in this unit until 2023. I now solely practice privately.
