Mr Angus Arthur

Mr Angus Arthur is a Consultant Shoulder, Elbow & Upper limb surgeon appointed in Glasgow since 2009. Mr Arthur completed his training with a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He is an experienced full-time NHS consultant based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. Mr Arthur’s practice involves keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery and joint replacement surgery for shoulder and elbow conditions. He provides a tertiary referral service within Scotland for complex shoulder and elbow problems.  Mr Arthur’s specialist interests include treatment of rotator cuff problems, instability, arthritis and stiffness of the shoulder and elbow. He has extensive experience treating fractures and sporting injuries of the upper limb and works with amateur and professional athletes, in addition to previously working on ski-patrols in the UK and abroad. He teaches nationally on arthroscopic and trauma surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He also teaches university undergraduates and on the regional orthopaedic training scheme. Mr Arthur has a Medicolegal practice providing expert opinion on personal injury and negligence cases.
