I trained at St Bartholomew's Hospital and my specialist colorectal training was at St Mark's Hospital, London. I have worked at the Shropshire Nuffield Hospital for over 25 years. I was appointed Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in May 2000. I retired from full time NHS work in May 2022 but continue to do NHS clinics and operating lists as well as my private practice. I am married with 4 children and my interests include ski mountaineering and rock climbing.

General surgery - Colorectal Surgery
Investigation and treatment of rectal bleeding, ano-rectal symptoms, change in bowel habit and abdominal pain. Diagnosis and management of haemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulae and pilonidal sinus as well as colorectal cancer, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Treatment of abdominal hernias, such as inguinal or femoral hernias, incisional hernias and skin lesions.
