I am a Consultant Rheumatologist at Sussex Premier Health. I cover all aspects of Rheumatic disease including:                   Inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders such as lupus, gout, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia. Soft tissue rheumatic disease including tendonitis, tenosynovitis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, back pain and carpal tunnel syndrome. I also perform joint and soft tissue injections including hyaluronic acid (Synvisc and Durolane). I am accredited for medico-legal work in relation to rheumatic disease and fibromyalgia. I have been an NHS consultant in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine for over 20 years. I was Lead Clinician in Rheumatology for 8 years and I continue to work in the NHS alongside my Private Practice. My NHS commitment is at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (Eastbourne DGH, Conquest Hospital and Uckfield). I studied medicine at Imperial College/Westminster Medical School. My research into Rheumatology was at St Georges Hospital Medical School where I looked at the effects of aerobic exercise on the hormonal systems of patients with autoimmune disease.  I have published papers in this field. My formal Rheumatology training was at South Thames Regional Training Scheme which included rotations at St George’s Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’.
