ith over a decade of experience in plastic surgery and non-surgical aesthetics, Mr Andrew Kilshaw is a highly regarded Consultant Plastic Surgeon providing expert care in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. He began his surgical training in 2014 and developed a parallel interest in aesthetics from 2016, bringing a broad and balanced skill set to every patient encounter. Uniquely dual-trained in plastic and oncoplastic breast surgery, Mr Kilshaw is among a small number of UK surgeons able to deliver a fully integrated approach to aesthetic and oncological breast care. He is recognised for his focus on natural results, patient safety, and truly personalised treatment throughout each stage of the surgical journey. Mr Kilshaw graduated from Newcastle University in 2012 with an MBBS, having previously completed a master’s degree in Clinical Education (MClinEd) in 2011—reflecting his commitment to teaching and mentoring future clinicians. He undertook his registrar training in the Yorkshire region between 2016 and 2023. His advanced subspecialty training includes a prestigious TIG Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship (2023–2024) and a Breast Microsurgery Fellowship at Leeds Teaching Hospitals (2022–2023), which honed his expertise in complex breast reconstruction and cancer care. He further refined his aesthetic surgery skills through a British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) mentorship, focusing on facial aesthetics, body contouring, and breast enhancement. In 2024, he was appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Leeds General Infirmary, where his NHS practice centres on breast cancer reconstruction and skin cancer surgery, and he serves as a core member of the Melanoma Multidisciplinary Team. Mr Kilshaw is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences, including recent presentations in Lisbon and Dubai. His scholarly contributions include a chapter in 50 Landmark Papers All Breast Surgeons Should Know, a respected reference in the field of oncoplastic breast surgery. He is an active member of several leading professional organisations, including the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), and the Association of Breast Surgery (ABS). He has been listed on the General Medical Council’s Specialist Register since 2013.
