Dr Alexander Kumar

Alex is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Management with Honorary Consultant appointments at King’s College Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Outside the NHS, Alex delivers integrated pain management at Pure Sports Medicine. He qualified from Bart’s and The London and undertook specialty training in Anaesthetics and Pain Management both in the UK and abroad with fellowships in acute pain at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, and in chronic pain at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.  Alex’s passion is in the use of pain medicine to enable rehabilitation to improve function and quality of life. This is achieved by using a truly holistic, multidisciplinary approach, tailoring intervention, medication, and pain therapies in partnership with the patient.
