Dr Chesover is a consultant in paediatric endocrinology and metabolic bone disorders, working at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH). He prioritises the needs of children, young people and their families with kindness and expert care. He qualified from University College London Medical School (2009) and completed paediatric specialty training in the UK. He was awarded a competitive grant to complete a three-year fellowship in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto (2020). He is a member of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology's Bone and Growth Plate Working Group and the UK Paediatric Rheumatology Clinical Studies Group, and DMD Care UK Bone & Endocrine Working Group. At RNOH, he leads the paediatric fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva clinic that recruits to international trials. At GOSH, Dr Chesover established a multidisciplinary clinic to meet the bone health needs of patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He is the GOSH clinical lead for risk management in endocrinology. His research publications can be found here: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6280-5053. Dr Chesover has a passion for education and training, completing a Masters in Medical Education (2017). He is an educational supervisor, leads the GOSH teaching programme in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes, and facilitates on the GOSH international medical graduates induction and communication skills course.
