I am a Consultant Nephrologist at the Richard Bright Renal Unit in Southmead Hospital, Bristol and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. I graduated from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge and completed nephrology training at the Hammersmith Hospital, London. I was awarded an MD in Nephrology at Imperial College London. I run nephrology clinics at Southmead Hospital, Royal United Hospital Bath and Chippenham Hospital as well as the dialysis unit at the Bath. I have served Strategic Director for the Renal, Vascular and Transplant Networks and Divisional Director at North Bristol NHS Trust. I am also clinical lead for haemodialysis and clinical research at the Richard Bright Renal Unit and have been the NIHR:CRN West of England Lead for Renal Disorders. Throughout my clinical practice and research I aim to improve treatments and outcomes in patients with kidney disease.
