Dr Alaaeldin Amin

Dr. Alaaeldin Amin is a highly experienced and dedicated consultant cardiologist with a subspecialty interest in coronary interventions. As a Swindon cardiologist with over 15 years of clinical expertise, Dr. Amin has made significant contributions to the field of cardiology. Dr. Amin completed his medical studies at Cairo University, graduating in 2005. Following his medical degree, he undertook extensive postgraduate training in cardiology, during which he earned both his Master (MSc) and Doctorate (MD) degrees, further solidifying his expertise in the cardiovascular field. Dr. Amin currently practices as a consultant interventional cardiologist at the Great Western Hospital , where he provides cutting-edge care to patients with complex heart conditions. He offers an out of hours emergency acute heart attack service at the  Bristol Heart Institute . He is an integral part of the team, ensuring that patients suffering from myocardial infarctions receive timely and effective treatment. Dr. Amin is a consultant member of the  British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) . In recognition of his exceptional clinical skills and contributions to cardiology, Dr. Amin was elected as a  Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC)  in 2023, an honor reserved for those who demonstrate excellence in clinical practice and patient care. He is also a  Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention (FSCAI) , awarded in 2018 in the United States for his significant contributions to the field of coronary intervention and angioplasty. In addition to managing patients with general cardiac problems such as arrhythmia, heart failure, hypertension and valvular heart disease, Dr. Amin is particularly skilled in performing complex coronary interventions. He is highly skilled in performing complex procedures such as angioplasty, stent placement, and the use of intracoronary imaging and physiology assessment. These procedures are essential in treating coronary artery disease, a leading cause of death worldwide. Dr. Amin’s ability to perform these procedures with a high degree of precision and care is a reflection of his technical expertise and deep knowledge of cardiovascular medicine. Despite being a passionate coronary interventionist, his research contribution included different aspects of Cardiology reflecting his expertise in general cardiology. His field of research for Master degree was coronary artery disease and diabetes, whereas his Doctorate research was focused on valvular heart disease and indication of anticoagulation. He regularly participates in international cardiology conferences and has significant participation presenting complex cases and sharing knowledge with his peers.  Dr. Amin is well known for his patient-centered approach to medicine.
