GMC reg: 5199092I graduated from Baghdad University 1996 and travelled to the United Kingdom in 1998. After training in London and Yorkshire, I achieved the Certificate of Completion of Training in 2008 and was appointed as a consultant Gynaecologist at James Cook University Hospital in the same year. I became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RCOG) in 2002 and then a Fellow of the college in 2014. I obtained a Diploma in Health Research from Leeds University in 2011 and an MSc in Health Research 2017. I am lead for reproductive health specialty group (for health research) in the North East North Cumbria CRN. I established and run a tertiary level scaral neuromodulation service at South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust for urinary Incontinence. Nationally, I am a member of the research committee of the British Society of Urogynaecologists and I chaired the Iraqi Liaison Group of the RCOG between 2014 and 2017. Internationally, I served as a member of the International Urogynaecology Association public relations committee. Academically, I have presented my work in international meetings and published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. I am married with two children and enjoy table tennis and chess. I visit Iraq annual and delivery educational and charity medical work.
