Special clinical interests
Mr Abhijeet Shah is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the East Kent Hospitals University Foundation NHS trust. He is the lead consultant for endometriosis and special interest in early pregnancy problems at the William Harvey Hospital. He developed the Gynaecology emergency assessment unit which has enhanced patient care and satisfaction. Mr Shah has received additional training in advanced laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy and is a BSCCP certified colposcopist. He has also achieved Fellowship in minimal access surgery, which involves management of pelvic endometriosis, resections of fibroid and laparoscopic hysterectomies. He has special interest in recurrent miscarriages. Majority of his operations are performed as keyhole surgeries with quicker recovery and minimal scars for patients.
