Mr Abdulbaset Abosala

Mr Abdulbaset Abosala Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon MBBCh,FRCSEd, FRCS(Glasg), MSc, FRCSGlasg (Tr&Orth)   Mr Abdulbaset Abosala is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in primary hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as the management of a broad range of general orthopaedic conditions.   With over 30 years of medical experience and more than 9 years as an NHS Consultant, Mr Abosala has held consultant positions at several major institutions, including Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, the regional trauma centre at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, and Dr Gray’s Hospital in Scotland. These roles have provided him with extensive expertise in both elective and emergency orthopaedics across varied healthcare settings.   He completed his medical degree (MBBCh) in Tripoli, Libya, followed by extensive postgraduate training in the UK. He holds an MSc in Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation Technology from the University of Dundee and achieved the FRCS in Trauma and Orthopaedics through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.   He is a member of the British Hip Society and has a strong interest in clinical research, having published multiple peer-reviewed papers and contributed to national studies such as the WHITE8 trial.   Now based at Emersons Green Hospital, part of Practice Plus Group, Mr Abosala offers both NHS and private consultations. He is known for his clear communication, compassionate care, and dedication to helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
