The PHIN Quality Forum returns this October, bringing together healthcare professionals from across the independent sector to explore how data can better support patient choice.
This year’s theme ('Smart patients – How data will inform healthcare choices') focuses on how information is shaping the way people understand, compare and navigate healthcare.
As access to data grows, patients are becoming more informed and more involved in decisions about their care. The forum will look at what that means in practice, where there are still gaps, and how the sector can make better use of the information available.
Why attend the PHIN Quality Forum?
- Understand how high-performance data is being used to improve the quality of care in private hospitals and clinics
- Hear how better information empowers patients to make more informed decisions
- Learn from experts across data science, digital health, and patient safety
- Meet providers, consultants, insurers, patient organisations and health technology leaders

Speakers
Maggie Alphonsi MBE will be joining us as our keynote speaker at the PHIN Quality Forum 2026.
As one of the most recognisable names in women’s team sports, Maggie represented England 74 times, scored 28 tries, and played a key role in England Rugby’s World Cup winning squad and record-breaking Six Nations run.
But her story goes beyond elite sport. In her keynote, Maggie will reflect on her journey both as an athlete and as a patient recovering from a serious knee injury. She’ll share how data and the right support shaped her rehabilitation and her return to competition at the highest level.
The full list of speakers will be announced shortly.

- Private hospital leaders and care providers
