Dr Natalie Silvey joins PHIN as Clinical Advisor.
We are delighted to welcome Dr Natalie Silvey to the PHIN team as Clinical Advisor. Natalie will be joining the team on a part-time basis alongside her role as a specialist registrar in anaesthetics working at Hammersmith Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
Natalie previously worked with Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Innovation and Improvement Fellow, and prior to this, she was a Clinical Fellow for the National Medical Director, Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, and the Director for Acute Care to NHS England, Professor Keith Willett. In her career to date, Natalie has already built an impressive profile and was named as one of the top 100 clinical leaders in the NHS by the Health Services Journal in 2013.
In her role as Clinical Advisor, Natalie will be working with our team to develop insights from private healthcare data and contribute to our methodologies for case-mix adjustment and publication of meaningful indicators for patients.

On joining the team, Natalie said “The need for transparency in private healthcare has flown below the radar for far too long, and I’m really excited to be joining the team working to put that right. I’ve worked extensively across the NHS, both as a clinician and at a national level on policy initiatives to improve patient care, and I strongly believe that clinical informatics and data has great potential to improve patient safety, experience, and outcomes. I’m looking forward to contributing my medical knowledge and expertise to this important initiative.”
