More and more people are turning to the private sector for their healthcare. Our latest data shows there were 939,000 day surgery and in-patient admissions in 2024 alone (a new record level). We know that for many people this will be the first time they’ve tried this alternative to the NHS, so they aren’t sure where to turn with their questions.
As an independent, unbiased and not-for-profit organisation, we believe that the Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) is the place to turn when considering private healthcare. Whether you’re interested in consultant fees, hospital facilities, patient feedback scores, safety and quality data or wider information about going private, we’re here to help.
You don’t have to take our word for it though. On Monday 16 June, BBC Live featured a segment on private healthcare explaining some of the questions around private healthcare and their expert recommended the PHIN website as a reliable source for research. So if you’re considering private healthcare, why not take a look around the site?
