The Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) is further supporting hospitals' compliance with the Competition and Markets Authority's (CMA) 'Private Healthcare Market Investigation Order' with a new integration with Doctify.
The arrangement facilitates the collection and submission of hospital patient satisfaction data through the Doctify patient feedback platform and direct submission to PHIN – at no additional cost – using the system providers already use daily.
The integration is expected to have positive impacts across the sector. By consolidating patient feedback collection into a single system that many providers are already using, the partnership should:
- drive higher patient response rates (as patients receive one survey instead of multiple requests)
- increase overall compliance rates, and generate larger volumes of high-quality data for PHIN
all while reducing costs and administrative burden for providers.
Stephanie Eltz, CEO and co-founder of Doctify commented: “We are delighted to collaborate with PHIN – this partnership reinforces our mission to improve patient access to healthcare, helping patients access trusted healthcare providers and empowering them to make informed choices about their care in what can be an anxious time.
Ian Gargan, CEO of PHIN said: “We already collect large volumes of high-quality data from the UK’s 650+ hospitals offering private services. Patient experience is one part of that and we know patients value the experiences of those who have undergone procedures before them. Therefore, we are keen to do whatever we can to help providers submit their patient feedback data, so that we can help patients make more informed choices.
“Working with Doctify on this initiative provided a great opportunity for us to create a new avenue for data submission and reduce the burden on hospitals. We will continue to explore ways to develop this relationship, and others, to ensure we provide a gold standard in healthcare data.”
Dr Suman Saha, Chief Strategy Officer at Doctify, said: "Working with the majority of major private healthcare providers in the UK, we saw a clear opportunity to solve a genuine pain point. PHIN integration is now part of our core product offering because we believe compliance shouldn't be a burden – it should be seamless. Our goal is to eliminate the duplicate systems and costs that providers currently face, freeing them to focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Partnering with PHIN aligns perfectly with our commitment to transparency and patient empowerment."
