Patient Insights Explorer
Admissions, stays, and surgical site infections by patient characteristics
What it shows
- How long people stayed in hospital
- If they had any problems after treatment
- How results change for people of different ages, genders, or payment method
What it means
This means you can look at results that match your own situation. For example, if you’re in your 60s and paid for your care yourself, you can see how others like you did.
The goal is to make private healthcare information easier to understand, so you can feel more confident when making choices about your care.
The data displayed is provided directly by private hospitals and NHS Private Patient Units, who are legally required under the CMA Order to submit complete and detailed information. PHIN publishes information on the assumption that providers have submitted all records needed for publication and none have been withheld.
