At PHIN, we spoke to some of our team so you can read about the real stories of the people who make our organisation great. This is Nisha's 'My PHIN story...'
Please tell us about your role at PHIN
My role at PHIN is to provide IT support to all staff and to ensure that all IT services run smoothly. Most importantly to provide all our staff with a professional and efficient helpdesk service.
I started working at PHIN in October 2022 as an IT helpdesk Analyst. My main duties are to monitor our helpdesk call logging system (Fresh Service) and ensure that all tickets are handled and resolved in a timely and professional manner.
I have a degree in Computer Science, and around seven years’ experience of working in an IT customer support environment
What were you doing before joining PHIN?
Before working at PHIN, I worked in a company in Reigate doing a very similar role, I left this role in 2015 to take a career break after having my second child. During this time, I found a passion for baking, and I started my own small business making cakes, however, I always wanted to come back to my IT job at some point. Now that my two daughters are slightly older, I feel it is the best time for me to focus on my career again.
What attracted you to join PHIN?
In my search to find a similar role to what I was doing before my career break, I came across PHIN. What attracted me the most was that the roles and responsibilities listed in the job description was very similar to what I have done in my previous jobs. I also really liked the fact that PHIN is a small team which is what I was looking for to settle back in. The hybrid working pattern was just a bonus for me as it meant I could maintain a good work/life balance.
What is the best thing about working at PHIN?
So far, I’m enjoying all aspects of working for PHIN. My role, my team, the friendly staff, and the flexibility to be able to work from home. My team has made it easy for me to fit right in. They are always there to help and answer any questions that I may have, which is extremely important when starting any new role.
