At PHIN, we spoke to some of our team so you can read about the real stories of the people who make our organisation great. This is Julie's 'My PHIN story...'
Please tell us about your role at PHIN and if it has evolved.
My role of Consultant Services Executive at PHIN was a new and positive step for me. Joining PHIN, a relatively small company (compared to my previous work at the NHS and the Metropolitan police) was a new experience and over time I have watched the company grow together with my role. This has included engaging with consultants in person as well as on the phone. New projects involve audits on data received to ensure PHIN’s records are accurate and checking consultants featured on our website are still active in private practice.
What attracted you to join PHIN?
I have always been interested in health and to work in an organisation such as PHIN was a perfect opportunity as I transitioned from the NHS to this dynamic company. I was particularly interested in how PHIN provides the public with a range of data so that patients can make decisions on their private healthcare treatments.
Can you share a memorable experience or project that has significantly contributed to your growth within PHIN?
One project that contributed to my growth within PHIN was being involved with the implementation of the new portal, looking at the design and contributing to necessary changes to enhance the experience and use for consultants.
Is there a memorable moment that you can share at PHIN?
Last year, I thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas lunch. It provided a relaxed and informal setting to connect with colleagues I work with directly, as well as an opportunity to meet others in the company whom I don’t usually interact with on a day-to-day basis.
