A state-of-the-art hospital equipped with cutting-edge technology, with spectacular views across London, University College Hospital is located on Euston Road within walking distance of Euston mainline train station. The hospital houses our highly specialised haemato-oncology service for patients aged 13-18 years old who are diagnosed with cancer. The team also cares for patients undergoing cellular therapies (alloHSCT and gene therapy) for primary immunodeficiencies, and red cell disorders including sickle cell anaemia and thalassaemia. University College Hospital provides all aspects of state-of-the-art cancer care and are a highly specialist centre for specific treatments, including haemopoietic stem cell transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy and, shortly, proton beam radiotherapy. The specialist ward has private rooms complete with all the equipment a teenager needs to make their stay in hospital as comfortable as possible, and a parent or carer is able to stay in the private rooms overnight with their child, when required. The Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing of University College Hospital is home to our private maternity ward, The Fitzrovia Suite. As we are part of a large, multi-specialty hospital, both patients and their babies will have immediate access to the hospital’s specialty services such as special baby care unit (SCBU), neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or intensive care unit, if it is required, making UCLH one of the safest private environments to have your baby.
