I studied medicine in India before undertaking specialist oncology training at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and Velindre Hospital in Cardiff. Prior to my appointment as a consultant, I was a Clinical Research Fellow at the Academic Department of Radiation Oncology at The Christie Hospital in Manchester where I pursued research in image-guided radiotherapy and gained my Medical Doctorate from the University of Manchester. I maintain an active interest in research and am the principal investigator for several national breast and gastrointestinal research trials. I offer a personalised, patient focussed oncology service to deliver chemotherapy and radiotherapy for colorectal and breast cancers. I also offer some highly specialised services like SABR ( targeted stereotactic radiotherapy) for liver tumours & lymph nodes; contact radiotherapy or papillon treatment and brachytherapy to preserve organ ( rectal) function ( i.e. try and avoid a permanent colostomy).
