This information is provided by Mr Simon Wemyss-Holden.
I am a highly experienced Consultant Laparoscopic Hepatobiliary (liver and gallbladder) Surgeon at Spire Norwich Hospital with extensive experience in advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) operations. I am highly skilled in performing complex minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures such as cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder) and hernia repair (both keyhole and traditional ‘open’). I have performed several thousand of these operations during the last 35 years of my practice and have achieved excellent results with an exceptionally low complication rate, world-class outcomes and a very high level of patient satisfaction. I qualified in 1988 from the University of Nottingham and completed my junior doctor training in the Trent region. I then pursued specialist surgical training primarily in Leicester, complemented by nearly three years of advanced training in Adelaide, South Australia. This international experience allowed me to develop a broad and in-depth understanding of complex laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. Areas of expertise include: Hernia surgery (laparoscopic and more traditional 'open' techniques) Gallbladder and gallstone removal Pancreatic and biliary surgery Laparoscopic (keyhole) investigations and treatments Patient feedback Please copy and paste the link below into your browser to see my constantly updated patient feedback: https://www.doctify.com/uk/specialist/mr-simon-wemyss-holden-1 Additionally, recent feedback from the Spire hospital patient feedback survey confirms that I am highly professional and have a very caring and compassionate approach to my patients and surgical practice: 'He showed a very professional, conscientious, and caring approach - I felt relaxed and comfortable with him.
