I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working with the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust, based at Musgrave Park Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospitals. I specialise in treating patients with hip and knee arthritis. I have graduated in Medicine with distinction and two Gold Medal Honours from Andhra Medical College, Vizag, India. I studied for Masters in Orthopaedic Surgery at Rangaraya Medical College, NTR University of Health Sciences, India. After moving to UK, I undertook basic surgical training in Nottingham. I have further completed Higher Surgical Training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in Northern Ireland attaining FRCS (T&O). I have a special interest in Lower Limb Arthroplasty and undertook two fellowships to enhance my skills. My first fellowship was under the tutelage of Prof Beverland as BART Fellow, Musgrave Park Hospital, Belfast. This is one of the high volume Arthroplasty units in UK and highly regarded in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty surgery. I have also completed a Fellowship in Hip surgery under the auspices of renowned Prof Middleton at the Royal Bournemouth & Poole Hospitals, who is well known for leading in research in enhanced recovery pathway, Simulation, Cycling for Hip Pain & Robotic Hip Surgery. I was awarded an Honorary Visiting Fellowship with the Bournemouth University. I was also awarded the ESSKA ALWIN JAGER Travelling Fellowship for the year 2018. I treat all general trauma, hip and knee problems performing surgical treatments including, primary and revision hip replacements, knee replacement, and knee arthroscopy. I am keen to utilise enhanced recovery techniques for patients and involved with the project in Belfast Trust. I am actively involved with research leading to several presentations at National & International Scientific meetings, publications and Co-authored a Book Chapter on Complex Total Knee Replacement. I also play an active role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and served as Examiner for Medical Undergraduates, Queens University, Belfast.
