Professor Dhiraj Gupta

Professor Dhiraj Gupta is a consultant cardiologist at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (LHCH), which is the largest specialist cardiothoracic centre in the United Kingdom. Prof Gupta is a very high-volume operator in interventional electrophysiology and Left Atrial Appendage Occluder (LAAO) work. He is renowned nationally and internationally for his clinical results, and proctors cardiologists nationally and internationally for complex AF procedures.  Prof Gupta has served as the Chief Investigator for many multicentre international trials in the field of catheter ablation, and he has over two hundred scientific publications to his name. He has an honorary appointment with the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool, and has supervised and examined several PhD students. Prof Gupta served as the Treasurer of the British Heart Rhythm Society 2017-2018, and he sits on the Clinical Standards Committee of the British Cardiovascular Society.
