Having qualified from Cambridge University, I trained as a orthopaedic surgeon in the East of England, specialising in hip and knee replacement on the Cambridge East Anglian Training Rotation. I was appointed as a Joint Replacement Fellow at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital (NNUH) and then worked as a consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge, prior to my appointment at the NNUH in March 2005. I served as Service Director of the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at NNUH from 2010 until 2019, and again from February 2024 onwards. My main interest is hip and knee joint replacement surgery, which includes hip revision surgery, and I am one of the highest volume lower limb joint surgeons in the East of England, across both the NHS and private sectors.
