GMC reg: 6031568I am a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, with a specialist interest in colorectal cancer and pelvic floor surgery. I have an active research interest in cancer / pelvic floor, in particular translational aspects and outcomes following in surgery. I went to medical school in Cardiff, University Hospital of Wales, going on to general surgical training in London and Wales. I worked in Oxford for my subspecialty fellowship in pelvic floor surgery. I am a Trustee of the MASIC (Mothers with Anal Sphincter Injury in Childbirth) Foundation and the Secretary of The Pelvic Floor Society. I am the Chief Investigator for several trials including POLARIS, (Pathway for low anterior resection syndrome after surgery), CLOSE IT (closure of ileostomy timings), AFFINITY (acceptability of faecal transplant for anterior resection syndrome) and PARiS (Physiotherapy for Anterior Resection Syndrome).
