This information is provided by Mrs Afshan Khaja.
GMC reg: 6119768I have succefully completed my specialist training in Feb 2014 and since then I have been pactising as a consultant in the NHS at University Hospitals Birmingham. Urogynaecology is a special area of my interests although I also practice in general gynaecology and some Obstetrics as well in my NHS role. Most of my patients have problems like prolapse and urinary incontinence. I also see patients who have pelvic floor problems, menopause related issues and sexual dysfunction. My apporoach to my patient's management is laid back and I try my best to avoid invasive interventions if life style changes can help improve quality of life. If surgery is required, I avoid mesh and try to use patient's own tissues.
