Mr Sunil Bhudia

Sunil K. Bhudia, BSc, MBBS, FRCS(CTh), MD, MBA Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and Clinical Director of Harefield Hospital Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Honorary Associate Clinical Professor Warwick Medical School I qualified in pharmacology with basic medical science at University College London (UCL) in 1994. I continued my medical training at UCL and was awarded Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1996. I undertook research towards a thesis at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio, USA in 2001. In 2004, returned to the UK to specialise in cardiothoracic surgery. I became a consultant in cardiac surgery at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust in 2009. Later joined Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust in February 2016.  I was appointed as Lead for Surgery at Harefield Hospital in 2018 and in 2023 been appointed as Clinical Director of Harefield Hospital.  I have completed Executive MBA at Imperial College Business School beginning of 2023. I have been an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at Warwick Medical School and sit on various training committees.  I have interests in cutting edge cardiac surgery, virtual reality and mixed reality in cardiac surgery and teaching, human factors, team working and cardiac modelling.
