Mr Dalgleish is a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma surgeon based in Tayside who specialises in treating all types of knee and hip conditions with both non-operative and surgical techniques. He qualified from the University of Dundee in 2007 and completed his orthopaedic specialist training in the East of Scotland Rotation. He undertook subspecialty fellowship training in Western Australia, on the prestigious Perth Sports Surgery Fellowship programme, focussing on all aspect of sports, trauma and reconstructive knee surgery. He also completed the Hollywood Arthroplasty Fellowship, focusing on primary and revision knee and hip replacement surgery. Mr Dalgleish was awarded the BOSTAA travelling fellowship to three renowned orthopaedic centres across North America and Canada where he was able to share ideas, further his own knowledge, and build a network of connections with some of the world-leading surgeons in reconstructive knee and hip surgery. Mr Dalgleish has previously been the Clinical Director for the NHS Tayside Trauma & Orthopaedic department. He remains actively involved in the teaching, training and supervision of medical students, orthopaedic trainees and qualified surgeons, having previously been the Musculoskeletal Lead for Undergraduate Teaching at the University of Dundee Medical School. He is as Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer for the Master of Orthopaedics (MChOrth) course as well as being course director of an arthroscopic skills course training other surgeons in keyhole surgery techniques. He is actively involved in research with several peer-reviewed publications related to knee, hip and trauma surgery Mr Dalgleish is committed to providing patient-centred care and has experience of treating patients and athletes from a recreational, amateur level through to international, professional athletes. He believes in an individualised approach, using evidence-based techniques to help improve patient symptoms and optimise patient experience, recovery and rehabilitation. He is recognised by all the main insurance companies and has practising privileges for operating at Kings Park Hospital, Stirling.
