Mr Shyam Shyamalan

I'm a consultant hand surgeon and wrist surgeon based in Birmingham and Solihull in the West Midlands. I work for UHB NHS Trust and I'm the director of The Midland Hand Clinic which is based at numerous private hospitals. I specialise in minimally invasive hand surgery and wrist surgery, offering expert diagnosis and treatment for a variety of chronic and traumatic conditions including sports injuries, wrist arthritis and scaphoid fractures. Training and education I gained his Bachelor of Medicine from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine. I then went on to complete my General Orthopaedic training on the South West Thames Rotation. Since qualifying I have had the privilege of working with a variety of world-renowned experts, and was able to take my Hand and Plastics fellowship training at a number of first-rate units around the world including Ganga Hospital in India, Royal North Shore Hospital in Australia and The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. During this time, I've developed extensive expertise in complex nerve procedures, paediatric hand problems, soft tissue hand trauma, arthritis and wrist arthroscopy, becoming a hand specialist.
