GMC reg: 4640969Qualifications: MBBS (AIIMS, New Delhi), MS General Surgery(AIIMS, New Delhi), MCh Urology (AIIMS, New Delhi), FRCS (Urol) (Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow) I did my undergraduate followed by surgical and urological training at AIIMS, New Delhi and moved to Yorkshire for further training. I was a specialist registrar in urology till 1996 and was appointed as a Consultant in Uro-oncology at Mid Yorkshire Trust in 2006. I moved to BTHFT in 2013 where I have helped develop robotic pelvic surgery for urological cancers. I have performed over 500 radical pelvic cancer surgeries for both prostate and bladder cancers and contribute to national audits of my practice available through BAUS. I have been on the BUF and TUF fellowships to centres of excellence in uro-oncology including the Cleveland Clinic and Vanderbilt in the USA; Lueven in Belgium; Martini Klinik in Hamburg and Guys hospital and UCLH in London. I have over 30 articles published in peer reviewed journals and have made 40 presentations in international meetings. I am currently the Lead clinician for Urological cancers at BTHFT and the Regional lead for urological audits in Yorkshire. I organise an annual robotic masterclass (NERUS) at BTHFT. I am also a faculty in the cadaveric robotic prostatectomy course. In recognition of my clinical work and research over the years, I have been awarded 9 clinical excellence awards.
