He also has specialist knowledge on non-scarring lasers for diabetic retinopathy, diabetic maculopathy and retinal vein occlusion. He has experience in management inherited retinal diseases including retinitis pigmentosa and Stargardt’s disease. He is an expert in cataract surgery especially in patients with other retinal diseases and specialises in Micro-incision cataract surgery. He is an active researcher in retinal conditions and is the principal investigator and sub-investigator of several national and international clinical trials.
