My initial surgical training was at University Teaching Hospital in North India and subsequently in UK surgical training programme in Yorkshire region. I provide a comprehensive service in upper gastrointestinal disease and enjoy working alongside other specialist colleagues in the management of particularly challenging and complex problems. I perform laparoscopic gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic roux Y gastric bypass. I have specialised in managing oesophageal and gastric cancers. I also perform a wide variety of laparoscopic surgery including cholecystectomy, hernia repair, anti-reflux surgery, splenectomy, appendicectomy, component separation for incisional hernia, lump and bump surgery and other minor surgery. I participate in on call general surgery rota for busy university teaching hospital and tertiary trauma centre. I have experience of managing acute abdominal condition and perform and supervise surgery for acute general surgery emergencies. I am educational and clinical supervisor for Foundation Year, Core Trainee and Specialist Trainee.
