Mr Muyiwa Owoniyi

Mr Owoniyi qualified as a doctor from the University of Birmingham. Following junior doctor training, he returned to Birmingham University to teach anatomy after which he went on to start ophthalmology registrar training in Wales. During the specialty training, he spent time working as an Education Fellow at the Imperial College NHS Trust in London. On completion of his ophthalmology training, he undertook the prestigious glaucoma surgical training fellowship programme at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He currently works at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals as the lead clinician for the glaucoma service in Shropshire. He also trains and supervises junior surgeons. His clinical interests are in managing all ophthalmic conditions with a particular interest in the medical, laser and surgical management of glaucoma and simple and complex cataract surgery.
