Undergraduate degree at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge  Qualified from Oxford University Medical School in 1990  Neurosurgical training in Oxford, Nottingham, Royal Free Hospital, National Hospital Queen Square and Oldchurch Hospital, Romford .  Specialist fellowship in Pituitary and Skull Base Surgery at National Hospital, Queen Square, 2001 . Consultant Neurosurgeon at Queens Hospital, Romford since 2002 .  Professional roles in clinical management , authorship of the professional examination in Neurosurgery and National Selection for Neurosurgical training . Treasurer of the British-Irish Meningioma Society .  Research interests in the growth and management of Meningioma and in the History and Development of Neurosurgery . 

Mr Pollock's intracranial interests include cerebral (brain) tumours including meningioma, glioma, pituitary and acoustic tumours. He has an adult cranial meningioma series of over 500 operated cases . He also treats trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm, and hydrocephalus . Spinal practice is focussed on pain control and minimally invasive motion-preserving surgery , working with colleagues in physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, primary care, rheumatology and anaesthetics .
