GMC reg: 3613386Jake has been a Consultant Neurosurgeon since 2003, having trained in London at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, qualifying in 1991. He has subspecialised in spinal neurosurgery. He is ex-officio council member of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS), on the Humanitarian and Global Committee of the European Association of Neurosurgeons (EANS) and Committee chair for Medicines, Drugs and Devices for the World Federation of Neurosurgeons (WFNS). He travels extensively, teaching and training surgeons around the world with more complex spinal surgeries.
Neurosurgery - Spine
Jake practices all aspects of spinal work except paediatric spine. He has pioneered many of the modern techniques in the Yorkshire region, including vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, XLIF, ALIF, minimally invasive techniques, uses computerised navigation for placement of screws, and takes on complex revision spine surgeries. New patients get a 40 minute consultation and clinic letters are sent the following day. Secretaries are contactable by mobile phone and waiting times are minimal.
