GMC reg: 4477820Mr Huins is a consultant ENT Surgeon. He specialises disorders of the ear, hearing and balance. He qualified from the medical school at University College London and went on to complete his higher ENT surgical training, also in London. He moved to Cambodia to undertake advanced otological fellowship training where he established an ENT Service in a charity hospital. He trained Khmer doctors to build a sustainable service for the Cambodian population. He moved on to Australia, to cochlear implant fellowship training at the Sydney Cochlear Implant Centre. He was under the tutorship of Associate Professor Catherine Birman. In 2015 Mr Huins was appointed as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. He performs all aspects of ear surgery, including but not limited to chronic ear disease, balance, surgery for hearing and cochlear implantation. Charlie is a Foundation Doctor Training Programme Director for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, together with being the ENT Lead an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer for the University of Birmingham. He frequently teaches and lectures locally, nationally and internationally. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council.
