Mr Al Chalabi is a consultant general, colorectal and laparoscopic surgeon at Princess Royal University Hospital - King's College Hospital; he qualified in 1999 and completed higher surgical training in Dublin in the general and colorectal surgery, he also trained in Guy’s & St Thomas hospital in London where advanced training was gained in laparoscopic surgery. His main expertise is in all colorectal benign and cancer conditions, anorectal condition, small and large bowels diseases and hernia surgery using the key-hole technique. He also undertakes complex pelvic surgery, minor day surgery and endoscopy. Mr Al Chalabi’s main research interests are in enhanced recovery pathways combined with laparoscopic surgery.
