Mr Colin Butler

Mr Colin Butler is a Consultant Ear, Nose, Throat, Head & Neck & Thyroid Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Trust specialising in paediatric ENT care.   He graduated from University College London and completed his Specialist ENT training in London, working at The Royal National Throat, Nose, and Ear Hospital, St Bartholomew's Hospital, The London, Imperial and Charing Cross Hospitals and the Royal Marsden Hospital. After completing his training, he has undertaken prestigious specialist fellowships in Paediatric ENT at Great Ormond Street Hospital and a Royal College of Surgeons approved fellowship in Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery. During these fellowships, Mr Butler has obtained considerable experience in advanced airway surgery, complex surgery for the trachea, and in head and neck.? Mr Butler obtained a Wellcome Fellowship and completed PhD in Airway epithelial stem cell biology from UCL and continues to play an active role both in translational and clinical research. He has a research group at the Institute of Child Health investigating ENT diseases in children with ENT problems. He has published more than 100 peer reviewed publications, numerous book chapters, and presents regularly internationally. Mr Butler's Private clinics are at The Portland Hospital and at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
