I am a leading UK Hand Surgeon with over two decades of experience, specialising in the latest surgical and non-operative treatments for conditions from fingertip to elbow, including hand and wrist arthritis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome and Dupuytrens disease. My practice is distinguished by my deep empathy and compassion as well as my expertise in minimally invasive procedures, including ultrasound-guided carpal tunnel release (currently the only surgeon offering this in the UK), WALANT local anaesthetic surgery and advanced injection therapies like PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and Arthrosamid. I qualified as a consultant in 2016 having completed fellowships in hand surgery in Derby, New Brunswick and Calgary in Canada, and Southampton. I am a leading authority on wide-awake hand surgery having contributed to the definitive book of the same name. I underwent my own hand surgery using this technique successfully in 2018. I have many publications both in peer reviewed journals and books to my name and I continually update my practice and my skills with the latest evidence. I am also innovative and an entrepreneur, being the first person in the UK to undertake ultrasound guided surgery through an ultra minimally invasive incision for carpal tunnel and trigger finger. I'm also one of the biggest advocates for base of thumb arthritis joint replacements and have many extremely happy patience using this technique. I am also chief medical officer for orthopaedic consultancy firm – ortho consulting group, as well as a medical implant company – Aurora Medical. I have a key interest in the commercial world, but most importantly I have concentrated on providing my patience with an exceptional level of engagement, education and empathy being awarded the honour of becoming the soul UK surgeon in an invitation-only group, Exception MD. this group recognises and promote exceptional patient service.
