GMC reg: 6066870I completed my higher specialist training in Severn and Wales Deanery and obtained FRCS in 2014. Since commencing my consultant practice, I undertake both general and specialist surgery. I have excellent clinical skills and place a strong emphasis on Doctor patient relationship. I believe in delivering quality, compassionate care that incorporates individual patient preferences and values. I enjoy educating and empowering my patients on health and wellbeing. He is a published author in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research work in international meetings and conferences. He is also passionate about teaching undergraduates as well as at the Royal College of Surgeons courses and workshops. General surgery - Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery
Benign Upper gastro-intestinal surgery; Hernias, including inguinal , femoral, incisional and umbilical hernia; Laparoscopic procedures ('keyhole surgery'), anti reflux surgery, repair of hiatus hernia, Laparoscopic surgery for achalasia cardia and Upper/Lower GI endoscopy. His interest is General surgery with particular sub-speciality focus on Upper gastrointestinal, laparoscopic (“keyhole”) surgery, hernia surgery of all types and surgical emergencies. As part of his busy practice he operates on patients with symptomatic gallstones and other problems of the gallbladder. A particular interest has is the enthusiastic and rapid surgical management of acutely presenting gallbladder pathology such as infections, pancreatitis and jaundice. Mr Haque has an interest in surgery for hernia of all types. This includes groin (inguinal & femoral) and abdominal wall hernia. He has a particular interest in recurrent abdominal wall hernia and complex hernia repair. He believes that there is no “one size fits all” approach to managing patients with hernia and prefers to tailor his surgical approach to each patient following a detailed discussion of the risks, benefits and expectation of the patients prior to surgery. This may involve a period of observation, open surgery or keyhole surgery, depending on the joint decision-making tailored for the patient.
