 I am married to a wonderful consultant in medicine and diabetes and father to 3 great kids  I like to spend time with them and doing community work to promote equity, diversity  and inclusivity in health care and education 

I have trained in the UK and USA and my practice covers the full range of thoracic surgery. This includes diseases of the Chest Wall, Trachea and Major Airways, Lung, Pleura, Mediastinum and Diaphragm both Benign and Malignant. I assess patients referred to me electively in outpatients or as emergencies and plan their appropriate management. I perform an extensive variety of procedures that are diagnostic, therapeutic or palliative, both open and through minimally invasive techniques such as video-assisted thoracoscopic -keyhole-surgery (VATS), Image Guided in Hybrid Theatre or Endobronchial “natural orifice” surgery. Interests Lung Imaging, Lung cancer (Lung cancer vaccine: Chiron Study), interstitial lung disease (ILD) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) management and research related to them New service: I am the lead for the Endobronchial Lung Volume Reduction (ELVR) service and the lead for image guided interventions that includes transthoracic localization biopsy, trans bronchial Sampling and combined microwave ablative therapy and thoracic resections.
