GMC reg: 7037144Mr Adam Devany is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist interest in the Foot and Ankle, at the James Paget University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Mr Devany treats patients privately at East Point Consulting Rooms at the James Paget in Gorleston and at The Spire Hospital in Norwich. After graduating from Norwich Medical School in 2009, he completed his postgraduate Orthopaedic training on the East of England rotation, during which he was awarded chief resident status and 1st prize winner of 70 candidates by the Judge Business School, Cambridge University, for his innovative project implementing the first app based communications system in a UK hospital, featured on the BBC. Following completion of training he undertook the prestigious Oswestry Foot and Ankle fellowship for 18 months, working with some of the world’s leading orthopaedic surgeons, learning modern and advanced techniques in the subspecialty of Foot and Ankle. Mr Devany is widely published in peer reviewed journals and has presented at numerous international and national conferences, being shortlisted in 2018 for the ‘Investigator Award’ out of 1800 submissions at the British Orthopaedic Association Conference. He has a keen research and clinical interest in flatfoot conditions and treating sports ankle injuries, particularly osteochondral injuries (OCDs) of the talus. He is a member of the professional bodies of The Royal College of Surgeons, British Orthopaedic Association and British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is married to Eloise and has two boys who keep him on his toes. He is a keen pianist, saxophonist and enjoys football and cricket.
