GMC reg: 6077256Miss Celia Theodoreli-Riga is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon and Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She is the Head of the School of Surgery for London, Health Education England, and in charge of the country's largest postgraduate surgical education programmes. She has served as the Chair of the Surgical Training Committee and the Training Program Director in Vascular Surgery in London. Miss Riga also sits on the UKRI/EPSRC Healthcare Technologies Strategic Advisory Board. She is clinically practising at St Mary's & Charing Cross Hospitals, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, The Lindo Wing, The Harley Street Clinic and The Wellington hospital. She is also an Honorary Consultant Surgeon at The Royal Marsden Foundation Trust. She serves on the UKRI/EPSRC Healthcare Technologies Strategic Advisory Board. She received her primary qualification from Imperial College and a further postgraduate Doctorate degree in endovascular technologies, before her appointment as a Clinical Lecturer in Surgery in 2010, completing Membership and Fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng). Miss Riga has extensive experience in Medtech and clinical translation for medical devices. She sits on the New Interventional Procedures Committee Board, which oversees the safe implementation of new devices and techniques across all Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust sites. She is an Examiner for Imperial College, Oxford University and the Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship Examination in Vascular Surgery. Her clinical expertise focuses on aortic aneurysms, occlusive vascular conditions, varicose veins, sclerotherapy, carotid disease, diabetic foot disease, stroke prevention and aortic dissection management. She has an international reputation as a vascular expert with over 300 podium presentations and over 100 publications. Her clinical research and postgraduate education initiatives have attracted over 10 million in competitive funding.
