Having completed my medical training in London in 1993, my ophthalmic training was undertaken in Aberdeen, Southampton and finally Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. I have practised as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Hull for almost 16 years and am currently joint clinical lead, clinical tutor and examiner for the Hull York Medical School, and examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists postgraduate exams. I have been principal investigator for several surgical retina clinical trials in Hull and am actively involved in teaching and training. I am married with 3 grown-up children and live in the East Riding of Yorkshire. My interests include cycling and music. I am actively involved in a local church and have previously also helped to lead cub and scout groups in the community.
