I have 21 years of experience of being a leading consultant urologist in the UK. I am a great believer in scientific innovation that improves the patient experience in diagnostics and therapeutics. I have been at the forefront of development of new techniques in prostate disease - TURP in Saline, Greenlight laser PVP ( I was the Co Lead Investigator of the GOLIATH trial and lead the submission in the UK for NICE approval), REZUM, Aquablation of the prostate (Investigator in the WATER trial). I am one of two trained surgeons in the world that performs Prospace balloon insertion prior to radiotherapy to minimise the side effects in treatments for prostate cancer. I am the Chairman and Co-ounder of the leading welsh prostate charity, PROSTATE CYMRU. As well as fundraising over £500,000 per year, I lead of team of volunteers who perform wellman talks throughout Wales (over 216 so far in 2019).
