I’m a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon based in Manchester and am Clinical Director of Ophthalmology at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust. We are the second largest eye department in Manchester and serve around 1 million patients.
I provide a full range of general ophthalmic services. My special interest includes all disorders of the eyelids (commonly malposition and abnormal masses), lacrimal system (watery eyes) and orbit (abnormalities of the tissues around the eye and the eye socket).
I graduated with Honours from the University of Manchester. I completed my basic ophthalmic training in Worcestershire, East Anglia and Liverpool. My advanced oculoplastic surgery training was initially in Liverpool followed by two years of fellowship training in Manchester and Sydney, Australia. I am a full member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society.
I have published and presented in many aspects of Ophthalmology and continue to have research interests in oculoplastic surgery.
I am particularly proud of the oculoplastic service that I have set up which delivers the highest standards of oculoplastic care.
I hold private clinics at Oaklands Hospital in Salford and The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale.
