Dr Tariq Ahmad

Dr Tariq Ahmad has been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital since 2007 and Honorary Associate Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Exeter since 2012. Dr Ahmad qualified from Bristol University in 1992 and completed higher specialist training in gastroenterology in Oxford in 2005. He sees private patients at the Exeter Nuffield Hospital. Dr Ahmad has a particular interest and expertise in diagnostic gastroenterology and the management of Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Dr Ahmad undertakes all diagnostic endoscopy himself and works closely with radiological, surgical, and dietician colleagues to ensure prompt investigation and treatment whatever the cause of your symptoms.
