GMC reg: 4120283Having graduated in medicine from the universities of Cambridge and London in 1994, I moved to Glasgow in 1997, where I completed my training in medical oncology and gained an MD from the University of Glasgow. I have been a consultant at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre since 2008, specialising in treating patients with breast cancer. I was Breast Oncology Lead for the West of Scotland for 9 years between 2010 and 2019 and, in 2018, I became SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) Lead for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. I treat patients with breast cancer with all forms of systemic therapy, including chemotherapy, biological therapy (such as Herceptin), endocrine (hormone) treatment and newer drugs such as immunotherapy. I am also an active participant in breast cancer clinical trials in the West of Scotland and am a member of regional and national groups involved in service development and the introduction of new medicines into the NHS.
