NHS consultant appointments and practice: I was appointed consultant in anaesthesia and pain management at Frimley Park Hospital in 2013, and currently working at East and North Hertfordshire Trust Hospitals. I do 10 independent outpatient clinics, 4 multidisciplinary pain meetings with Spine surgeons, Radiologist, Physiotherapy and Specialist Nurses and up to 5 theatre-based interventional procedure lists a month. I work within a multidisciplinary pain service with nurse specialists, pain psychologists and supervise specialist clinics for Physical therapy like Acupuncture, TENS and Botox injections. I am the Lead for Clinical Governance for Pain department and do yearly Pain meeting for Anaesthetic department. My anaesthesia practice involves elective anaesthesia for most of the surgical specialities except complex paediatric, cardiac, neurosurgical or transplant cases. I qualified from Osmania Medical College, India in 1997 with a medical degree and was awarded distinction in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in final year. I obtained Diploma in Anaesthesiology (DA) from Osmania Medical College in 2002. I became a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) in 2009 and fellow of the Faculty of Pain in Medicine (FFPMRCA) in 2013. I trained in advanced pain techniques at Oxford School of Anaesthesia hospitals. I did 6 months post-CCT fellowship learning advanced neuromodulation techniques like Spinal Cord Stimulator at Wexham Park Hospital.

Specialist interests in Pain Medicine: I have considerable experience in the clinical management of a wide range of chronic pain conditions including Spinal Pain, Back Pain, Sciatica, SI Joint Pain, Neck Pain (Headache, Migraine), Nerve/neuropathic Pain, Cancer Pain, Fibromyalgia, Endometriosis, Urogenital pain, Pelvic pain, Post-surgical pain, Joint Pain, Psychological support and Complex pain diagnosis. I manage patients within a multidisciplinary and multispeciality and multimodal incorporating pharmaceutical, interventional procedures, physical and psychological therapies.
